För mig har Mike Posner alltid varit en pop-dance-snubbe. Inte så konstigt med tanke på hans platta 31 minutes to takeoff eller att han har skrivit låtar åt Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Wiz Khalifa, Nelly och Avicii.
Det var ingen skillnad när jag hörde remixen på superhiten I took a pill from Ibiza på radion. Jag blev desto mer förvånad när jag hörde EP:n The truth.
Där finns I took a pill from Ibiza som den var tänkt att låta. Det är avskalat. Det är singer-songwriter-stil. Och framför allt är det väldigt, väldigt bra.
Vad hände där egentligen? Så här låter väl inte Mike Posner? Tydligen gör han det. När han vill. Om han vill.
Vilken version är bäst? Remixen?
